Bison.. Bison.. what to do?
Some of you may recall that in my post about the Covent Garden Market, I mentioned purchasing some bison beef. Well! I now have a bit of a dilemna, I just cannot decide what to do with it. So far, I have been thinking about perhaps making spaghetti with bison meatballs, or maybe a Shepard”s pie with bison meat, and I have even read about these Atomic Buffalo Turds.. heh heh .. which are ground buffalo with a jalapeno pepper stuffed inside and then wrapped in bacon … I think! I want and need YOUR help.. I would love for you to post about what the heck you think I should do with it. I am truly excited to try buffalo meat for the first time, so I am open to just about any kind of recipe.. help a food blogger out here.. and I, in return will help you by letting you know where to find it… You can get Buffalo Meat at the Covent Garden Market tomorrow from 8 am – 1 pm, or you can call Bruce and Shirley Mills directly at their farm at 519-229-6316 and arrange to pick some up. I met Shirley at the market 2 weeks ago and she has all kinds of other products for sale including maple butter and assorted hand made jellies. She knows all about Bison and I think I may have convinced her that I need an up close and personal visit to pet a bison! Blanbrook Bison Farm RR6, St. Mary”s, Ontario 519-229-6316 Read More
