Question for my Readers!
My question I want to put out there is – Does anyone know where to get local organic milk? I think Field Gate Organics at the Market sells it, but does anyone else have a source? I am interested in something within Ontario. Thanks! I also wanted to take this chance to share with you some great comments that have been on some other pages of the blog where people have been giving info on where to find things. You can feel free to use this blog and the comments section to help each other find stuff! I have been keeping track and there are over 70 of you sometimes a day to the site – yah for google analytics! Here are a small sample of some comments in the last year: Danika said…Just want to give a big shout out to McSmiths. Totally worth the drive to pick up some awesome organic chicken and eggs. And not just organic in that they get organic feed and access to a little dirt pen. The chickens are totally free range. Like–be careful you don”t hit them with the car when you pull in. The eggs are fantastic and I just got some heavenly tomatoes from there too. Anonymous said…I know I”m too late for your christmas turkey but McSmith”s raises turkeys, but you have to call them ahead of time and place your order because they have a limited number. Anonymous said…I have also purchased turkeys from the Turkey Shoppe (Oegema Farms) in Talbotville and loved their turkeys. I do not believe they are certified organic but do practice hormone/antibiotic free farming of the turkeys. BTW great site! I am arranging a 100 mile meal for church and this is a great resource for me. Since my husband and I moved back to the city we have been trying to find farms where we can purchase locally. We are really excited to check out some of these places. Thank you for making the space public. Read More
